On the weekend if you are looking for something to do, Brisbane hosts various Markets in the city and surrounding suburbs. The South Bank Lifestyle Market is on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Valley Markets in Brunswick Street and Chinatown are a Brisbane Icon and are on every Saturday and Sunday. The Farmers Markets at the Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm are on every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. There is also The Riverside Markets in the city every Sunday. Anyone for Retail Therapy? In the middle of the City is located Qld’s premier shopping destination, the Queen Street Mall. There are five major shopping centres, two department stores and four shopping arcades to explore.
